Spider Web Wreath

• Command™ Outdoor Medium Slate Terrace Hook
• Plastic spiders – any color
• Gold spray paint
• White spray paint
• Twigs
• White twine
• Hot glue gun
• The center of a spool of ribbon
• Wood glue

NOTE: Follow all Command™ Brand package instructions for proper surface cleaning and prep, adhesive strip placement and recommended weight claims.

1. Gather several twigs from around your yard. Use the center cardboard piece of an old spool of ribbon as the center of the spider web wreath. Place several twigs starting from cardboard piece outward. Helpful hint: Make sure your little piece of center cardboard isn’t too deep. The thinner, the better! Consider a half-inch spool of ribbon for this project.

Secure the twigs to the cardboard piece using a combination of hot glue and wood glue. The hot glue holds the twigs in place while the wood glue dries.

2. Once the glue is dry, coat the cardboard piece and twigs with white spray paint. Next, spray paint the plastic spiders in gold. It will add a touch of glam to the web without making it too creepy for children that may be knocking on the door.

3. While the paint is drying, hang a damage-free Command™ Outdoor Medium Slate Terrace Hook on the front door. First, clean the surface with isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Wipe gently and let dry. Wait one hour before using the hook.

To attach the Command™ Outdoor Medium Slate Terrace Hook, remove the blue liner and press the adhesive to the mounting base of the hook. Remove the black “wall side” liner and press the hook to the surface for 10 seconds. For maximum holding strength, slide the hook up off the base and press firmly against the base for 30 seconds.

Slide the hook back onto its base and wait one hour before use. Be sure to follow the recommended weight claims

4. Once the white paint on the twigs is dry, wrap white twine around the twigs to create a spider web. Starting in the center, wrap the twine around each twig to create one circular row of twine. Then cut the twine, dab each twig with hot glue where it meets the twine, and move on to the next row. Repeat until your web looks full.

Glue the gold spiders to the web using a hot glue gun.

Using the hot glue gun, secure a small loop of ribbon on the center cardboard piece. You will use this loop to hang the wreath on the Command™ Outdoor Medium Slate Terrace Hook.

5. Hang the spider web wreath on the front door by sliding the ribbon loop over the Command™ Outdoor Medium Slate Terrace Hook.
