There are important tips to know and follow before applying Command™ Picture Hanging Products

- Wait 7 days after painting before use

- DO NOT apply strips to paper or soft surfaces on frame

- Remove hanging hardware from back of frame

- DO NOT hang over beds or on wallpaper

- DO NOT hang valuable or irreplaceable items

- Hooks have a temperature range of 50°F to 105°F

Failure to follow instructions carefully may cause damage.

How to Apply Sawtooth, Universal, Canvas, and Wire Back Picture Hangers

    Step 1: Wipe wall with rubbing alcohol. Do not use household cleaners or water.

  • Hands remove the red iner from the adhesive strip.

    Step 2: Remove the red liner from your adhesive strip and press firmly to the hanger.

    Step 3: Remove the black liner and press the back of the strip firmly against the wall for 30 seconds. If using a Universal Hanger, position the post at the bottom for wire-backed frames, and at the top for all other types. Wait 1 hour before use. If NOT using a Jumbo Universal Hanger, skip to step 6.

    Step 4 (For Jumbo Universal Hanger Only): Once the hanger is mounted, separate stabilizer strips and click them together.

    Step 5 (For Jumbo Universal Hanger Only): Remove liners from one side of each pair and press firmly to the frame near the bottom

    Step 6: Remove the remaining liners and hang your picture on the hanger. Firmly press the frame to the wall for 30 seconds. Wait 1 hour before use.

How to Remove Sawtooth, Universal, Canvas, and Wire Back Picture Hangers

  • A hand gently holding the hanger in place against the wall.

    Step 1: Hold hook gently in place with one hand.

  • A hand pulling the strip away from the wall, with a red prohibited circle with diagonal line through.

    Step 2: NEVER pull the strip towards you. Always pull straight down.

  • A hang stretching the strip down against the wall

    Step 3: With the other hand, stretch the strip slowly against the wall (at least 12 inches) to release.

Painted walls, painted or varnished wood, painted cinder block or concrete, tile, metal, glass, laminates, or smooth solid surfaces are all approved damage-free hanging surfaces for Command™ Products.
