Command™ Outdoor Large Window Hook is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 131.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love all command products. They all have worked great for me. I needed a hook for my front door. This was the best hook and it stayed put even after going in and out of the front door all the time. Their products can be pricey but they last a long time and they home things up well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for windows I bought 6 for lightweight wreaths, followed the directions to a T and all 6 and the wreaths came down, have been a happy user of command hooks for many years but these are no good. Hook not very sticky when picking up the pieces.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work I purchased several large hooks to hang Christmas wreaths inside and out. All of my wreaths are under suggested weight limit and all have fallen. I tried to rehang the using 2 strips side by side but that doesn’t work either. Adhesive strips aren’t very sticky to the touch’s

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for hanging my heavy winter wreath on the door. Even works in the frigid winter cold weather. Never fell and comes off easy in the Spring.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work as advertised I have used regular 3m hooks in the past with great results. This is the first time I have tried the window hook. I followed instructions, waiting until the following day to hang my lightweight Halloween wreath, and within 5 minutes it fell to the ground. The adhesive was still attached to the hook. I am trying with 2nd adhesive strip, but expecting more of the same...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As stated in several of the comments, I also experienced what I thought was a product failure; holiday wreath falling from the window after mounting. I also followed the directions completely, including cleaning the window with alcohol. As you might expect I was frustrated and disappointed, however in a conversation with a customer service representative, who was very professional and empathized with my dilemma, he asked if the wreath was within the stated weight limits; "sure" I responded. Truth in fact was that I wasn't absolutely sure of the exact weight of the wreath, the conversation gave me a reason to weigh the wreath. I was surprised to find that the wreath weighed 7 lbs. In my case, those hook installations and hangings that are within the stated weight limits are functioning as advertised, the hooks that were asked to support weights greater than their stated rating failed; no surprise here. Here is my advice, weigh your hangings to properly match the size of the hook with the "hook capacity".

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They changed the hook and now they don't work We have hung the same wreaths on our windows for years and always used these 4 lb. command hooks. I bought new hooks this year and we hung the wreaths yesterday. They lasted a couple hours and then all the wreaths fell off the windows. The old hooks have a strip of hard plastic on the back of the hook that the adhesive strip adheres to. The new hooks are all silicone (rubbery stuff) and the adhesive strip adheres to it instead of to plastic. Unfortunately, the adhesive strips do not stay stuck to the silicone, and the the whole hook fell off with all the wreaths. The adhesive strip is still adhering to the window but the other side won't stay stuck to the silicone hook. Please go back to the old design which was fantastic year after year. We have some of our old hooks left and will be using those today to hang all the wreaths. I encourage everyone to hoard their old hooks, but these new ones are worthless! I tried calling the Customer Service number today, but it is Saturday and they are closed. What a disappointment.

    Command™ Weight Reference Guide

Not sure which Command™ Product is right for you? We weighed some common household objects to give you a better understanding of the amount of weight you’re hanging on your walls. Explore our Command™ Weight Reference Guide to find the best Command™ Product for your project.

    • Even the lightest items need the right support. Next time you brew a pot of joe in the morning, remember that a 16 oz bag of coffee beans is the equivalent to one pound.

    • Comparing apples to oranges might not be a fair matchup, but comparing a bag of apples to your next project—that’s a different story. Did you know that a standard bag of apples is equal to three pounds? How do you like them apples?

    • You want a damage-free hanging solution that’s up for the task—not one that will drop your object like a hot potato. For items with a bit more weight, remember that five pounds feels just like a standard bag of potatoes. Unsure whether you have a standard size bag? Just check the front of the bag for the 5 lb weight.

    • Looking for a solution to hang your heavier objects? No there’s no use crying over spilt milk. Just reach for the gallon of milk in your fridge—it weighs about eight pounds.
