Command™ Medium Picture Hanging Strips is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 700.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Earthquake proof! We've hung practically EVERYTHING in our house with these guys about 6 years ago. Yesterday we had several earthquakes and nothing fell off our walls. Neighbors were sharing photos of broken picture frames and glass an all of our wall hangings didn't budge. Thanks Command!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible I bought this for the fact that it is advertised to cleanly hang frames. When I went to remove it and followed the instructions to do so it ripped 2 baseball sized sections of paint off my wall. This will now cost me hundreds to fix. I have to hire someone to spackle and repaint it. NEVER USE

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible. Tore off my paint down to the gypsum. Had to seal, spackle, and paint. So much for damage-free. Cost me more money and work, I should have just used nails.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Has the Glue changed on the Product? For years I have used the picutre hanging strips to put up picutres on my walls with no isssus. The last few months however I have noticed that the strips don't seem to be as sticky anymore and I have had items fall. Has the glue changed on the strips and that is the reason? Just yesterday I tried putting up a picture frame that is MUCH lighter than ones I have hung in the past but it fell within an hour. I even used 12 paris of strips to try and hold it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work We bought these for my daughter's college dorm. She used 4 12# strips for a small 4-hook wood piece. She hung her size small Northface jacket and a lightweight jacket, totaling maybe 5#, if that of weight. So, we had 48# of strips & they couldn't hold 5#. It fell down. We paid a LOT for these things and now have to buy more again to try to hang up her hooks again. I may have to find something else to use that works. We also had a wooden shelf with glass bottles on it come CRASHING down (broke the shelf and bottles & woke up the other residents). We used 12 LARGE Command Strips for that! 192# of command strips for maybe 10# of weight. Didn't get pictures of that. It was a mess. Normally, these work well for us. I don't know if we got a bad batch or what. They were put on correctly. This is the third year using these in a dorm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Picture fell off Sounded too good to be true and it was! Followed instructions precisely and even measured the weight of the frame which was well under the limit. The glass picture frame fell off in the night and smashed. After ringing a local picture hanger, they told me that they get a lot of work from command picture strips failing.

    Command™ Weight Reference Guide

Not sure which Command™ Product is right for you? We weighed some common household objects to give you a better understanding of the amount of weight you’re hanging on your walls. Explore our Command™ Weight Reference Guide to find the best Command™ Product for your project.

    • 1 lb. Hold

Even the lightest items need the right support. Next time you brew a pot of joe in the morning, remember that a 16 oz bag of coffee beans is the equivalent to one pound.

    • 3 lb. Hold

Comparing apples to oranges might not be a fair matchup, but comparing a bag of apples to your next project—that’s a different story. Did you know that a standard bag of apples is equal to three pounds? How do you like them apples?

    • 5 lb. Hold

You want a damage-free hanging solution that’s up for the task—not one that will drop your object like a hot potato. For items with a bit more weight, remember that five pounds feels just like a standard bag of potatoes. Unsure whether you have a standard size bag? Just check the front of the bag for the 5 lb weight.

    • 8 lb. Hold

Looking for a solution to hang your heavier objects? No there’s no use crying over spilt milk. Just reach for the gallon of milk in your fridge—it weighs about eight pounds.
