Pick out a framed chalkboard large enough to accommodate a different application on half of the surface and still provide plenty of writing space. Add two or three evenly spaced rows of three or four hooks to one side. I love to use Command™ Metal Hooks in the Antique Bronze finish. String small, natural rope tassels to each of your keys and hang from the rows of hooks, just like an old-style hotel!

Show it Off
Select your favorite digital photos of your kids and use a cropping tool on your computer to tweak the image in an artistic way. Make the photos off center or zoom in. Next, pick a color that matches your décor and then adjust the color settings until the whole image is bathed in those hues. Frame and hang the photos easily using Command™ Picture Hanging Strips.

Let It Snow
Just take a bag of cotton balls, and string them with fishing line and a needle. Keep the balls randomly spaced and string as many random lengths as your little fingers can take! Then, using Command™ Poster Strips, hang the lines from the ceiling. Space them however you would like and hang them all over – the more you do, the more snow you will have in your home!

Spook Your Roof
Looking for an Alfred Hitchcock look for your home? Affix a few silk crows – lined up in a row – along your front roofline using Command™ Poster Strips to keep them in place. It takes just minutes to install but the effect is spooky and simple, but oh so sinister. You can purchase silk crows or make them on your own using fabric and other materials from your local craft store.

Turn Classic into Creepy
Swap out family portraits in your front hall for pictures of creepy old Victorian era people – it is so easy to download them and print them onto matte photo paper. Then, use tea water to age the photos and a marker to black out their eyes. Hit up thrift stores and flea markets in your area to source different mismatched frames, and then use mats to accommodate the images. The goal isn't to create scary images, just a creepy overall feel that gets under guests skin. The gallery should initially blend into your décor – only to surprise and weird out guests upon second look! Taking down your frames will be much easier if you utilize Command™ Picture Hanging products, which enable you to easily move and replace photo frames without damaging yo;ur walls.

Deck the Walls
If there is no floor space for a Christmas tree in your tiny abode, then how about using the wall! Pick a color scheme, and then gather as many beautifully wrapped papers and images of all things wintery as possible – everything from postcards and greeting cards to family photos. Head to your local thrift store for all the frames you can get your hands on, grabbing different sizes, finishes and shapes. Layout the frames on the floor and play with them like puzzle pieces until you can get them worked into the shape of a tree. Now, using Command™ Picture Hanging Strips and/or Command™ Sticky Nail Sawtooth or Wire-Backed Hangers, hang the faux tree on the wall.
