Then, use tea water to age the photos and a marker to black out their eyes. Hit up thrift stores and flea markets in your area to source different mismatched frames, and then use mats to accommodate the images. The goal isn't to create scary images, just a creepy overall feel that gets under guests skin. Deck the Walls
If there is no floor space for a Christmas tree in your tiny abode, then how about using the wall! Pick a color scheme, and then gather as many beautifully wrapped papers and images of all things wintery as possible – everything from postcards and greeting cards to family photos. Head to your local thrift store for all the frames you can get your hands on, grabbing different sizes, finishes and shapes. Layout the frames on the floor and play with them like puzzle pieces until you can get them worked into the shape of a tree.
